What originally started as a hobby among a small group of collectors and fans, over 40 years ago, has blossomed into HORROR UNLIMITED! The core members are comprised of an amalgam of dedicated horror movie memorabilia archivists/historians, film industry people, and paper conservationists from around the world. Most of the active participants have been involved in their respective fields for many years. Among these individuals is Robert J.E. Simpson, our Editor in Chief, who brings unique credentials and passion to the HORROR UNLIMITED Bimonthly Magazine.

Over the years, many exceptional Horror/Science Fiction/Fantasy films have been produced, and are being produced, in many diverse corners of the globe. Many of them go largely unnoticed by mainstream critics and movie goers in the west. HORROR UNLIMITED Magazine is changing all that by actively pursuing relationships with established authors and other noted worldwide experts who impart a new and truly global perspective on the fantasy genre.

Most of the extremely rare production images, press and publicity material, posters, scripts, transparencies, slides, chromes etc., that are featured on our website, are derived from several private collections, which now form the core of the HORROR UNLIMITED collection. We actively seek to preserve these historic items, using the latest paper conservation and storage methods available.

Now for the first time, many of these extraordinary items from a wide variety of domestic and foreign Horror/SciFi films are being made available for public display, at our Virtual Library, to garner wider knowledge and appreciation of this fantastic genre which is, once again, gaining resurgence!

In addition to HORROR UNLIMITED'S own collection, we have received numerous contributions and support from other folks who are acknowledged here.

Current and future member services on the HORROR UNLIMITED website include a specialized marketplace for collectors to buy and sell film and/or horror related memorabilia, display their personal collections in their own virtual exhibits, publish want lists, and a variety of other specialized services.

Ultimately, the goal of HORROR UNLIMITED is to be the most concise, diverse and authoritative online resource of its kind in the world.
